Making Our Way Home: The Great Migration and the Black American Dream by Blair Imani follows the history of the Great Migration. The Great Migration began in the early Twentieth Century and spanned nearly 60 years with many Black Americans fleeing the South in order to find a better life in the North. This historical narrative goes into detail on how American history was shaped through the cultural, economic, and political changes brought about by the Great Migration.
