Black History Month Children's Book Spotlight

In George Washington Carver by Tonya Bolden we follow the life of famous agricultural scientist and inventor George Washington Carver. In the book we learn about the many innovations and inventions that revolutionized the way farming is done in America. We also learn about his popularization of beneficial crops such as peanuts and sweet potato, that help retain nutrients in the soil. He was a man that believed it was our responsibility to care for the land we call home.
