The Black Klansman is a memoir both about and written by a Colorado Springs police officer, Ron Stallworth. In the book, Stallworth goes under cover to take down the growing presence of the Ku Klux Klan in Colorado. Stallworth is able to trick the Klansman into believing he is a white man by only speaking to the Klan by telephone or through convincing white undercover agents to impersonate him during in-person meetings. This memoir is humorous, serious, and suspenseful with Stallworth's narration compelling you to keep turning the page.
